About Ms. Sarah Thrash
Sarah Thrash is a dedicated and passionate educator committed to supporting students, families, and fellow educators through every step of the post-secondary journey—whether that path leads to college, a career, or the military. With a background as a teacher, high school counselor, and now a CTE & CCMR Coordinator, Sarah empowers students with practical tools for success. She equips educators and counselors with practical strategies to guide them.
As the founder of CCMR with Ms. Thrash LLC, Sarah provides personalized, student-centered guidance to help young people navigate the complexities of College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR). Her mission is to help students discover opportunities, set meaningful goals, and create a clear and attainable path toward their future.
Sarah’s commitment to CCMR began in 2018, when she launched a GO Center at Sachse High School as a counselor. Designed as a dedicated space for post-secondary planning, the GO Center officially opened in fall 2019 and quickly became the district model, eventually inspiring similar initiatives in schools across Texas.
Throughout her career, Sarah has helped students earn scholarships, gain admission to competitive universities, and successfully enlist in the military. These transformative outcomes led her to establish CCMR with Ms. Thrash as a platform to expand her reach and impact even more students.
In her current leadership role, she champions equitable access to dual credit, Advanced Placement, and CTE pathways, ensuring all students have the resources and exposure they need to make informed decisions about their futures. Her experience as a 504 Coordinator also gives her a deep understanding of the unique needs of students with disabilities, enabling her to deliver inclusive, individualized support.
Sarah frequently contributed to the Region 10 newsletter. She is a sought-after speaker at educational events such as the ACT Summit, the Lone Star State School Counselor Association Conferences, and sessions hosted by ESC Regions 5, 10, 12, and 13. Her insights have impacted students and educators across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, fostering student-centered environments that promote readiness and possibility.
At the core of Sarah’s work is her belief in every student’s potential. Her mission is simple but powerful: to help students plan, prepare, and thrive in life after high school.
